What is a Derma Pen?

In general, Derma Pens are small devices that are used for cosmetic procedures either to treat skin issues or for aesthetic treatments. There are several Derma Pens available on the market to satisfy the different demands for their use. Depending on the procedure, they can be used for:

How does it work?

Derma Pens are based on a traditional Chinese acupuncture procedure when very small and thin needles are inserted through your skin to treat a certain pain problem, the only difference is that rather than reducing pain issues Derma Pens improve an appearance of the skin. 

The Derma Pen is fitted with a cartridge containing needles that are used to puncture only the top layer of the skin in a designed area of treatment. The punctures open up the top layer of the skin – the dermis, micro injuries caused by the needles encourage the ability of the skin to repair itself. As the skin heals, it produces collagen and elastin to support the process. Depending on the treatment, needles are used to apply pigment into the skin for example in BB Glow or permanent makeup procedures.

What is the difference?

Are you wondering what the difference between Hydra Pen and traditional Derma Pen is? The answer is very simple. The traditional Derma Pen penetrates the skin and the essence needs to be applied manually by the technician. However, Hydra Pen is fitted with a containable needle cartridge where the essence – hyaluronic acid and cream, is penetrated automatically into the skin during the application process. This function greatly improves the efficiency and final outcome of the treatment. This application helps the penetration of more than 80% serum ingredients directly into the skin which is far more than if the serum is applied manually – a one hand operation advantage. One cartage has a capacity of 3ml of the serum which is an ideal amount for one treatment. 

Furthermore, the pen is equipped with a powerful certified motor with 4 levels of speed which are shown on a Led display. The frequency of speed ranges from 1,800 to 7,000 microchannels per minute.  It has wireless built-in battery that provides a comfort wireless operation during the treatment. The needles are adjustable in a range of 0.15; 0.25; 0.5 and 1.0 mm. The device is available for different serums and essences and cartages are made with Acupuncture needles to reduce discomfort during the treatment. 

The needles are disposable which offers 100% safety and satisfaction for your clients. Furthermore, the pen is marked with a serial number is certified by CE and has 12 months warranty.
